Major interest of our research group focuses on the environmental problems caused by developing natural resources and the recovery of useful resources while resolving the environmental problems. One of the study topics is the investigation and treatment of the environmental changes caused during the development of natural resources such as shale gas or goethermal energy. We concern about the extraction of usable resources as well as the treatment of contaminated environment. Especially, we are focusing on the electrochemical recovery of the valuable metals such as lithium in wastewater. Another recent research interest includes the separation of gaseous material such as CO2 or H2 from gas mixture. The CO2 separation or H2 production using membrane is expected to be achieved with high efficiency and selectivity.
